LEE GUTIERREZ-DAY

Meet Lee Gutierrez-Day
Lee Gutierrez-Day started his journey in music when he started being part of boy bands, rock bands and musicals throughout his time in secondary school and in college. In college, he began to get involved in music production where he learned how to operate a DAW and how to work with other artists which benefited from the help of a recording engineer. He joined The Academy of Contemporary Music after finishing college to pursue an interest in music production and the overall industry of sound. After his first year, he joined a workshop that was being hosted on campus which was being taught by his future mentor, Simion Griffiths. Under Simion, he learned how to efficiently work in a studio and how to bring the best out of a client. He also learned how to mix and master tracks to a high standard. Throughout his time in the academy, he has worked with up and coming artists to release songs independently to build up his portfolio. He has also worked as a runner with sound engineer Chris Ashworth at Elstree Studios, where he got a taste of how the sound department works on set. He is now a freelance engineer operating in London.
